RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning edition are official. The new Redmi laptops are Xiaomi’s first laptops to be launched under its Redmi lineup. RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning edition laptops add to the company’s affordable lineup. The Redmi sub-brand till now included smartphones, fitness trackers, earbuds and Smart TVs. With the launch of RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning edition, buyers in India get new options under affordable series. The segment has Xiaomi’s own Mi series laptops.
RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning edition price, availability and launch offers
RedmiBook Pro will be available at a starting price of Rs 49,990 on Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Flipkart.com, starting August 6 2021. HDFC Bank card members can avail additional discount up to Rs 3,500. As for the RedmiBook e-Learning edition, it will be available at a starting price of Rs 41,999 on Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Flipkart.com, on the same date. HDFC Bank card members can avail additional discount up to Rs 2500.

RedmiBook Pro specs and features
Launched in Charcoal Grey colour option, the RedmiBook Pro offers a 15.6-inch FullHD display with 81.8% screen to body ratio. It houses a 720p HD webcam for facilitating video calls.
Powering the RedmiBook Pro is the 11th-Gen Intel Core i5-11300H processor Tiger Lake H35 CPU with a maximum clock speed of 4.4Ghz. With this, it also packs Intel Iris Xe Graphics card. Storage wise, buyers get 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz and 512GB NVMe SSD.
Xiaomi claims that with the Redmi Book Pro users don’t face heating issues as it has a large intake vent for constant cooling.
The keyboard of the RedmiBook Pro boasts of Scissor mechanism and there is 1.5mm deep key travel. The track pad is 100 cm-square in size and comes with multi-touch and gesture support. It has support for Windows precision drivers too.
Connectivity ports on the RedmiBook Pro include USB 2.0 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, HDMI 1.4 port, LAN port, 3.5mm headphone jack and a SD card reader. It comes equipped with Wi-Fi 5 & Bluetooth 5.0 as wireless connectivity options.
The Redmi Book Pro houses two 2W stereo speakers with support for the DTA audio processing app. Battery wise, it is said to last up to 10 hours in a single charge and reach 50% charging level in 33 minutes. Running on Windows 10 Home OS, it comes pre-installed with MS Office Home & Student 2019 that includes MS Word, MS Excel and MS powerpoint. It weighs 1.8 kgs and is 19.9mm thick.
RedmiBook e-Learning Edition specs and features
The RedmiBook e-Learning Edition laptop from Xiaomi comes powered by 11th-Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor with a maximum clock speed of 4.1Ghz. This is paired with 3200MHz 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB and 512GB SSD storage options.
The RedmiBook e-Learning Edition laptop runs Windows 10 Home operating system, comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 and additionally comes with a free upgrade to Windows 11 when it is available.
