The standard Amazon Paperwhite display is going up from 6in to 6.8in by reducing the bezels around it. It will still have the same 300ppi screen for ease of reading. The new version also increases its battery life from six weeks to 10 weeks, includes a faster processor, and offers up a USB-C port for quick charging as well. Finally, users can adjust the color temperature of their screen to reduce the amount of blue light it generates while they read e-books at night. It will be priced starting at $139 (with ad support) and $159 (without ads).

Amazon is also launching a more advanced Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. It will support wireless charging, will include more storage (32GB versus 8GB for the standard version), and will include support for automatically adjusting its display light. It will have a starting price of $189 without ads.

If you have children, the new Paperwhite will come in a Kid’s Edition. It has the same hardware as the standard version, but Amazon throws in a rugged cover, along with a free one year subscription to Amazon Kids Plus. It removes the ability for apps, games, and other things that aren’t e-books It also comes with a two-year extended replacement program. It will be priced at $159 with no ads.

Regardless of your choice, all Kindles will start shipping in late October.
