5 Of The Biggest And Coolest Games From The Xbox Showcase 2022 | Digit

The Xbox Games Showcase 2022 just took place last night and there were a bunch of cool announcements and reveals. Remember that Microsoft has acquired Activision Blizzard and Bethesda Studios. Expectations were high; for the most part, the show delivered some much-anticipated titles and gave fans a lot to look forward to in the future.

We’ve listed out 5 of the biggest announcements from the show.

Redfall

The guys behind the Dishonored series have a new vampire game out and it looks terrific. Dubbed Redfall, the game is a co-op horror shooter that features familiar elements from the developer’s past efforts. The game is set in Massachusets and features some vampire designs and the tight, focused action Arkane is known for. The game is expected to hit markets sometime in 2023.

Starfield

The next big thing from Bethesda Studios, Starfield has been on the minds of fans for years now. We finally got a full gameplay trailer that showed off the game’s art design and mechanics. From our view, it really looks like Skyrim in space. The game is an epic sci-fi RPG set with both third and first-person viewing options. Bethesda has said that the game will also feature space fights and a ton of exploration. It should be released sometime in 2023.

Minecraft Legends

Minecraft is one of the biggest games in the world and has a massive player base. So much so that there has been a ton of spinoffs and legends is the latest to be added to the list. Legends is a strategy game set in the Minecraft universe with an emphasis on resource management and planning. The game should be coming sometime in 2023.

Diablo 4

After the massive disappointment that was Diablo 3 and an even bigger failure in the mobile-only Diablo Immortal, it looks like Blizzard is pulling their socks up with Diablo 4. Even though there is no release date in sight, we do know that Diablo 4 will be hype AF.

Overwatch 2

The hipster of shooters, Overwatch took over the world of competitive shooters when it came out. The cartoony, goofy characters and sub-par shooting mechanics really hit the mainstream spot and launched Overwatch into the stratosphere. The sequel looks like it will improve from its predecessor. The game will also include two new characters and new maps. Overwatch 2 will launch in October.
