5 things you need to know about the newly launched Ola S1 electric scooter

Ola Electric has introduced its more affordable electric scooter, the Ola S1, and it will sit below the year-old Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 makes a comeback into Ola Electric’s portfolio after having been cancelled earlier this year. The brand new Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro are practically the same scooters, with the lower spec S1 having a couple of omissions to keep prices in check.

The Ola S1 is likely to cater to a larger set of audience with its attractive price tag. The Ola S1 also gets a sizeable feature list as well that should keep young and older customers satisfied. And given the size of the growing EV market, here’s a wrap on what you should know about Ola Electric’s latest affordable electric scooter, the Ola S1.

1. Price and availability

The Ola S1 has been introduced at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom excluding state-wise EV subsidies). The S1 will be available for reservation from August 15th to August 31st. For all others, Ola Electric will start to offer up a purchase window on September 2nd. The prices, however, are introductory and will be applicable for a select amount of stock. Ola Electric might choose to increase the price of the S1 post this stock is cleared.
