7 Great Amazon Deals on Robot Vacs, Headphones, and More

Amazon loves to make up sales, and this week’s promotion is all about Epic Daily Deals. In press releases, Amazon said the deals are supposedly “Black-Friday Worthy.” The vast majority of the deals featured in the sale we’ve seen so far have been OK discounts on OK gear. If you want true Black Friday pricing, you’ll likely need to wait until the end of November to see it on a wide scale.

However, this year, holiday shipping deadlines will be tighter than ever, so it’s smart to try and get a head-start on holiday shopping if there’s something you have your heart set on. We slogged through the bevy of discounts to find the “Black Friday-Worthy” price drops that mostly live up to their name. The picks below are truly great prices on gear that WIRED Recommends.

These deals will only last until the end of the day, while stock allows. We’ll keep our eyes peeled during the week. Shipping is free on orders over $35, or two-day shipping is free for Amazon Prime members. As always, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime.

Special offer for Gear readers: Get a 1-year subscription to WIRED for $5 ($25 off). This includes unlimited access to WIRED.com and our print magazine (if you’d like). Subscriptions help fund the work we do every day.

If you buy something using links in our stories, we may earn a commission. This helps support our journalism. Learn more.

Our Favorite Deals Today

Beats Studio3

Technically, these headphones have sold for around $200 since the middle of August, though they jump back up to full price often enough that we think this deal is more enticing than a $30 discount would entail. The Beats Studio 3 are a bit older now, but WIRED still recommends them. The booming bass and comfortable ear cups, plus active noise canceling and the W1 chip, make these aesthetically pleasing cans worth your while.

Fact: The AirPods Pro are nearly always on sale for about $200. The best prices we see for them are between $160 and $170. If you don’t want to wait to buy them, now’s probably a good time, but do not forget that based on trends over the last two years, your chance will return again. Despite their confusing sale structure, we do highly recommend the AirPods Pro, especially for iPhone owners.

This is an older model now that the new Kindle Paperwhite is out, but it’s still a good ebook reader, especially considering that it’s only about $5 more than the best deal we’ve tracked for the 2018 Paperwhite. You can read more about the various options in our Kindle Buying Guide. There are several other Amazon device deals you can check out this week. Just keep in mind that Amazon devices always go on sale during Black Friday.

Sales for this model aren’t infrequent, but they are brief, and usually only get down to $310 – $330. The Roborock S4 Max is one of the Best Robot Vacuums money can buy. It’s smart, but not too smart, so you won’t be paying more for features that go unused. It’ll intelligently zoom around your house and clean up dirt and dust without falling down your stairs or breezing over troublesome spots. There are other Roborock vacuums on sale, as well, but this is the one we like.

Crucial X6 SSD

This is our top pick for the Best Portable External Hard Drives, and it’s at the lowest price we’ve seen. The drive is blazing fast for the price you’ll pay, and it’s lightweight enough that you should have no trouble toting it around (when we can leave our houses again.)

This beefy MicroSD card is fast enough for HD video—it’s actually what WIRED’s Scott Gilbertson uses to test new cameras—and this price matches the lowest we’ve tracked. It’s reliable, speedy, and fast enough for professional photography or videography. For folks that don’t shoot in HD, this other discounted Lexar MicroSD card should do the trick.

This is a good price for three cards that are great for adding storage to things like a phone or a non-DSLR camera. The bundle is as cheap as we’ve ever seen it. You might want to pick it up if you’re always adding storage to small electronics.
