WhatsApp: Android smartphone users, this is how WhatsApp chats may look on your devices soon – Times of India
WhatsApp is bringing a small but noteworthy change to its app UI for Android users. According to a report by WaBetaInfo, the instant messaging platform has removed line separators between the chat cells.
WaBetaInfo is the online platform that shares the latest and upcoming updates and features on WhatsApp, for both Android and iOS users. In the report, it has also shared a screenshot which shows how the new chat UI will look like once the new feature is rolled out.
Currently, individual chats on WhatsApp are separated by thin lines. With the new feature, these lines will be removed for Android users of WhatsApp. It is currently in beta stage. The WaBetaInfo report says that the feature is rolling out more beta users of the app.
There is no information about whether or when the feature will be rolled out to iPhone users.
In other news, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart recently confirmed some upcoming features on WhatsApp. In an exclusive report, WaBetaInfo said that the company reached out to the website to talk about what these new WhatsApp features will mean for users and how they will work.
The features included disappearing mode, multi-device support for up to 4 devices and a dedicated WhatsApp app for iPad tablets. With the disappearing mode, users will be able to send disappearing messages in an ephemeral manner. This means that messages will be sent with the View Once feature.
Cathart confirmed that the multi-device feature will be rolled out in a public beta in the next month or two. With the new feature, users will be able to connect up to 4 linked devices.
