Google Pixel 5a price and specifications have been officially revealed as the smartphone has been launched in select markets. The successor to the Pixel 4a touts 5G support and a few other minor upgrades. While the mid-range Pixel phone looks interesting on paper, fans in India have been curious about whether the phone will launch in the country. After all, the Google Pixel 4a arrived last year at Rs 31,999. Unfortunately, there is some bad news for Pixel fans in India.

Will Google Pixel 5a launch in India?

As of now, the answer is no. The Google Pixel 5a has been launched for the US and Japan markets. Google seems to be releasing the device only in limited markets and India is not one of them despite the launch of the Pixel 4a last year.

The Google Pixel 5a features a 6.34-inch FHD+ (2400×1080) OLED display with HDR support and 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by the 2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The Pixel 5a ships with Android 11 OS with a minimum of 3 years of OS and security updates. The handset features a metal unibody design and Gorilla Glass 3 on the display. It is also IP67 rated for water and dust resistance.

Pixel phones are known for offering impressive cameras and the Pixel 5a might be no different. The phone gets a 12MP dual-pixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus and OIS+EIS. The rear camera system includes a 16MP wide-angle lens with a 118.7-degree field of view. The Pixel 5a also gets an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
