Rocket League: Rocket League gets 120Hz mode on PS5, adds Ratchet and Clank
Rocket League has got a 120Hz mode on the PS5, as per a PlayStation blog post by the game developer Psyonix. The game has also added Ratchet and Clank from Insomniac Games as a free game bundle for the PS4 and PS5 players. The game bundle comes with the Ratchet & Clank Punk Decal for Octane, Negatron Collider Boost, Clank Balloon Topper and the Ratchet Balloon Topper.
Coming back to the next-gen console special feature, the 120Hz mode can be enabled in the game by going to the Performance mode. Players need to go to the “Video Quality” setting in the game where they can find the Performance mode. The mode runs the game at 2688×1512 pixels resolution (70% of full 4K) at 120fps with HDR. Also, the game UI will run in 4K.
There is a Quality mode too that allows the game to run on a 4K resolution at 60FPS with HDR. You need to have compatible displays to run HDR and 120fps both and also have an HDMI 2.1 cable. If you are using a 1080p display, Rocket League will be rendered at 1080p supersampled from 2688 x 1512 pixels.
Also, Season 4 of the game has kicked off and will continue till November 17. The game’s latest car Outlaw can be obtained from the Rocket Pass Premium. With the new season come expanded competitive tournaments and new game items too. The tournament credits can be earned and then used on customisation items. For the PlayStation Plus subscribers, there is a PlayStation Plus Pack too which comes with Goop GE Animated Decal, Hard Hat GE Topper, Magmus GE Boost, Reaper GE Wheels and other customisation options.
