TVS iQube electric scooter reaches world’s highest EV charging station
In a triumphant achievement, two TVS iQube scooters have scaled all odds and reached the highest EV charging station in the world powered by goEgoNetwork. goEgoNetwork is a Pune-based energy startup, which has set up two EV charging stations in Kaza, in the district of Lahaul and Spiti, in Himachal Pradesh. This journey was taken up as a celebration for World Zero Emission day and the Indian government’s Make-in-India policy. This endeavour was undertaken by two women riders, Maanvi Rawlley, Marketing Communication Specialist at goEgoNetwork and Pratiksha Das, a motorcyclist from Mumbai. The ride kicked off from Manali and ended at goEgoNetwork’s charging stations in Kaza. The TVS iQube was chosen for the ride.

The two riders, Maanvi Rawlley and Pratiksha Das, covered a distance of 320km from Manali to Kaza and had to recharge their TVS iQubes at 3 locations. The scooters took on harsh weather conditions as well as treacherous terrain on their and together with their riders have broken myths and barriers. It is good to note that the scooters also undertook the high altitude at the Kunzum Pass which is at 4,551m or 14,931ft without facing any problem.

Kaza Sub-Divisional Magistrate Mahendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the EV charging station set up by goEgoNetwork. The station was set up with Bharat AC and Dual Socket Type 2 charger and is located at 3,800m or 12,467ft above sea level, making it the world’s highest EV charging station. SDM Mahendra Pratap Singh believes that such drives would encourage localities to put their faith in EVs and adopt them quicker which would help reduce carbon footprint in the mountains which are ecologically sensitive.
