iPhone 13 Pro camera review
Several manufacturers boast about their DxOMark scores, but Apple isn’t one of them. The website has now finished reviewing the latest iPhone 13 series and has published the scores. According to them, the new iPhone 13 Pro performs much better than last year’s iPhones with an overall score of 137. It does especially well in videos, gaining the top score on almost all tests. In the rear camera photo tests, the iPhone 13 Pro gets the 4th ranking.
The DxOMark review states that the iPhone 13 Pro also sees an improvement in video quality when compared to the iPhone 12 Pro. This is mainly due to improved color and exposure in video selfies. This makes it the second-best video selfie phone in the website’s database. It gets a score of 144 in Photo tests, and 119 in video tests, with an average of 137 points.
Meanwhile, the website also reviewed the smaller iPhone 13 mini, and stated that even the tiny pocketable phone does better than last year’s iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apart from telephoto zoom, the phone comes very close in performance to the iPhone 13 Pro. The latter does have a slightly bigger lens, which helps in the improved performance. In the front camera tests, the mini got the same scores as the Pro variant.
As of right now, the Huawei P50 Pro leads the smartphone rankings on DxOMark, followed by the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra in second, and the Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ in third position.
