Jio Phone Next price in India is Rs 6,499 but the company is offering an easy EMI option where potential buyers can purchase the phone by paying an upfront down payment of Rs 1,999 and the rest through EMI over 18 or 24 months. Jio is having four payment options: Always-on, Large Plan, XL Plan and XXL Plan. Interestingly, Jio is bundling data and calling benefits for those purchasing the Jio Phone Next through EMI and paying monthly. However, there’s a Rs 501 processing fee for EMI transactions.

Always On: Customers buying the Jio Phone Next through EMI have either an 18 or 24 months repayment option. In the Always-on mode, customers have to pay Rs 300 monthly if they chose 24 months and Rs 450 if they go with 18 months mode. Customers get 5GB of data and a 100 minute talk time balance.

Large Plan: In the large plan, customers will have to pay Rs 450 if they pick 24 month EMI repayment option and Rs 500 for 18 months. However, they get 1.5GB of data per day and unlimited voice calling.

XL Plan: In the XL Plan, customers buying the Jio Phone Next have to pay Rs 500 for the 24 month period and Rs 550 for 18 months. They get 2GB of data per day and unlimited voice calling.

XXL Plan: Lastly, customers choosing the XXL plan have to pay Rs 550 for 24 months and Rs 600 for the 18 month period. They get 2.5GB of data per day and unlimited calls.

Jio Phone Next availability and how to buy

Jio Phone Next will be available in India from Diwali i.e on November 4th. The handset will be available through Jio Mart Retail outlets. However, there’s a registration process involved to buy the handset. Here’s how to purchase Jio Phone Next

• Interested customers need to register by visiting the nearest Jio Mart Digital retailer or by visiting Jio.com/Next or by sending a WhatsApp ‘Hi’ message to 70182-70182
• On receiving a confirmation message, they will have to visit nearby Jio Mart retailer to collect the Jio Phone Next.

Jio Phone Next specifications and features

While Jio is yet to reveal the Jio Phone Next specifications, it has revealed some key features. The handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, rumoured to be the Snapdragon 215. It will run on PragatiOS and will be equipped with features like voice assistant, read aloud that reads the content on screen out loud in a preferred language, translation to 10 Indian languages, built-in camera filters and night mode photography, Quick share to transfer photos, file, etc with friends and family, and automatic features update. Jio Phone Next comes with a Google Play Store that brings access to millions of apps.
