realme: Realme to enter high-end smartphone segment, confirms company – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Realme is all set to give competition to other smartphone makers in the high-end smartphone segment. The company has confirmed that it will soon enter the high-end smartphone market.
Presently, Realme’s most expensive smartphone is the Realme GT 5G which is priced at Rs 37,999 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. Now, the smartphone maker is planning to launch a Realme smartphone under Rs 60,0000.
The company CEO Sky Li has confirmed that the smartphone maker is gearing up for the launch of high-end smartphones priced over $800 (Rs 59,500). Li also asked what the consumers are expecting from a Realme flagship smartphone.
Rumours suggest that the company might consider including a E5 AMOLED display which is seen in other flagship smartphones. Along with this, the company is also expected to make improvements in its main camera and might also add a telephoto lens to the upcoming expensive smartphones.
Recently, Realme announced Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 beta access for Realme GT Master Explorer Edition. So far, the software was available for Realme GT only. With the latest announcement, Realme GT Master Explorer Edition becomes the second Realme phone to get Android 12 beta.
The company is inviting applications for the Realme UI 3.0 Early Access program in China. There is no deadline to participate in the beta testing. It must be noted that beta versions aren’t as stable as the final builds. They often contain bugs that may impact the user experience, so it’s best avoided on a primary device. The beta version may not have all the features, but it comes with the Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) feature that allows one to expand the smartphone’s RAM virtually.
