NEW DELHI: If you have been using a Redmi Note 7 or Redmi 7 series smartphone, then here’s some bad news for you. The smartphone maker has announced that some of its smartphones will not receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update.
Xiaomi unveiled the MIUI 12.5 Global at an event earlier this year. The MIUI 12.5 update was followed by MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India. The company started rolling out the update for its devices during the third quarter of the year 2021. For those unaware, the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Atomised Memory, Focused Algorithm, Smart Balance, Liquid Storage. Along with these features, the update also allows users to uninstall most of the system apps.
The company has now announced the list of Xiaomi smartphones that will not receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India. Xiaomi revealed the list of these smartphones on its official Telegram channel.

– Redmi Note 7 Pro
– Redmi Note 7s
– Redmi Note 7
– Redmi 7
– Redmi Y3
– Redmi 7A
To recall, Xiaomi launched all the above mentioned smartphones in 2019.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is all set to launch its new smartphone in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Redmi Note 11T 5G smartphone in the country on November 30.
The smartphone is the successor of the Redmi Note 10T 5G which the company launched last year in July. The invite shared by the company reveals the name of the smartphone and comes with a tagline ‘Next Gen Racer’. Apart from this, Xiaomi has not yet revealed any other details about the smartphone.
