Thinking of upgrading to an iPhone 13 this Black Friday? Why waiting could be disastrous

Apple fans have been warned that the iPhone 13 could face stock shortages similar to the ones the PS5 and Xbox Series X have been facing. While the iPhone 13 range – which boasts the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max – have been widely available since launching in September, that might not be the case for much longer. According to a new report, supply constraints mean the iPhone 13 handsets aren’t as readily available as its predecessor, the iPhone 12, right now. And with Black Friday sales season well underway, and some great discounts like the ones listed below available, stock is likely to get snapped up at an even faster rate than usual in the coming weeks.

This deal includes 100GB of monthly 5G data and is available on a 24 month contract.

Across the course of the two year package you’ll be paying £1,416 – and when factoring in the cost of the price of the handset, this works out as just over £15 per month for the SIM. Which, for 100GB of data, is a bargain price.

All devices across the iPhone 13 range feature a gorgeous OLED panel, are powered by the latest and greatest A15 Bionic chip, while one of the standout new features of the latest iOS devices is Cinematic Mode – which lets you film Hollywood-style movies simply by grabbing the smartphone in your pocket.

With such great features, it’s no wonder the latest iPhones are in such high demand.

According to a report by Digitimes, supply constraints will continue for this quarter and into the next one, but will begin to ease up towards the end of Q1 2022.

The site said: “The shortage of IC components emerging in early October for iPhone 13 series is gradually easing as suppliers increase production, with assemblers on track to step up manufacturing through next February to meet terminal demand, according to supply chain sources.”
