Google Pixel Watch launch tipped once again, expected to arrive in 2022 | 91mobiles.com

Google is reportedly planning to bring out its own smartwatch (possibly called the Pixel Watch). This comes after the company began shipping out its new WearOS platform for other watchmakers. Brands like Apple and Samsung have launched several smartwatches over the years. Google has until now shied away from bringing out a Google-branded Pixel Watch. However, according to Business Insider, we are all set to see a smartwatch offering soon from Google. The product has been codenamed ‘Rohan’ and might come out next year.

Pixel Watch under development, launch expected next year

Google is reportedly working on the Pixel Watch and has codenamed the project to be called Rohan. The Pixel Watch is likely to come out next year and has been speculated to feature a circular dial design. The Pixel Watch might get rid of any perceptible bezel making it look like it’s all just a screen. The smartwatch will pack in gear for health and fitness tracking. However, there are no findings on the size of the watches or if Google would produce more than one size of the Pixel Watch like Samsung and Apple do.

Constraints in the form of a more strenuous charging timetable mean that the Pixel Watch might require charging up every day like many other smartwatches running on WearOS. Google might also restrict users to using proprietary bands instead of a third party or normal standardised bands like Samsung and Fossil allow.

While ample leaks have flowed through over the years on speculations and expectations that never have made it to a shop shelf. However, this time around the rumours on the Pixel Watch might lead to substantial results given that FrontPageTech has reported on the same, Project Rohan, albeit in a different hardware design.
