Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be called … Galaxy S22 Note? | 91mobiles.com
While controversial and laughed at initially, the Galaxy Note series was a trendsetter for the smartphone industry. From the very first model, Samsung Galaxy Note has packed all of its top-features into the biggest form factor possible. However, with smartphone screens becoming bigger over the year, it made less and less sense for Samsung to have a standalone Galaxy Note lineup in the portfolio. In fact, 2021 marked the first time that a Galaxy Note phone was not launched and the Galaxy S21 Ultra came with S Pen support. Well, now it looks like the Note lineup may truly be dead, with a S22 series model carrying on the legacy, not just in terms of features but even the branding. Sort of.
According to tipster FrontTron, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will actually be called the Galaxy S22 Note. That pretty confirms two things: that the Note series is finally dead, and that the Galaxy S22 Ultra/ S22 Note will feature a silo for the S Pen. Moreover, this move will help bring Note fans into the fold, in case they were waiting for the next-gen standalone Note model in 2022.
