android: New Windows 11 tool allows users to easily install Android apps on Windows 11 – Times of India

Microsoft has started testing the Android app support for Windows 11 in Insider Preview builds. The latest Insider Preview for Windows 11 comes with native support for Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) that allows users to install Android apps and games on their laptops via Windows Store through Amazon App Store.
A new open-source tool called WSA PacMan allows users to install Android apps without the need of installing Insider Preview build.
It was earlier possible to install Android apps on non-Insider builds of Windows 11 using the command line using Command Prompt, which can be a tricky thing to do especially for beginners.
The new WSA PacMan tool eliminates the need for a command-line or Command Prompt and lets them install Android apps natively on Windows 11.
The tool is available on Github for review and feedback and it is an open-source tool designed especially for Windows Subsystem for Android on Windows. It features a graphical user interface (GUI) and runs ADB command line to install Android apps on Windows 11.
The tool uses Windows 11’s Android Subsystem for Linux (WSA), so to use the tool, a one-time setup will be required.
Here’s how to get the app and install Android apps on Windows 11
To be able to use WSA PacMan, users will need a Windows 11 device and install WSA for Android on the device.
After this, download the WSA-PacMan tool from Github and install it on your device.
Once everything is set up, start installing Android apps on your system.
