Realme is all set to launch the Realme GT 2 series tomorrow (January 4) and ahead of the launch the company’s vice president Xu Qi has revealed more details about the device. The GT 2 Pro series is rumoured to comprise two smartphones – Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro. In a post on Weibo, the executive has revealed that the device will get a 32MP front-facing camera and 50MP dual-cameras at the rear. The post also reveals that the Realme GT2 will be equipped with a 2K AMOLED display, surrounded by slim bezels.

Talking about the Realme GT 2 Pro, the brand has already confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Key specs of the device have already been leaked in various leaks and rumours.

When it comes to the design, Realme claims that the Realme GT 2 Pro will be the world’s first smartphone to be designed with bio-based materials. As per the company, the back cover on the smartphone uses a bio-polymer material that serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fossil raw materials that contribute to global warming. The device is rumoured to sport a 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an in-buit fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is rumoured to be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

In terms of camera, the company claims that the Realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to offer a 150-degrees ultra-wide camera, which expands the phone’s field of view by 278% compared to the main camera’s 84-degrees field. The company has also developed the world’s first fisheye mode for smartphones on the device to provide an ultra-long depth of field effect.

The device is also equipped with HyperSmart antenna switching technology that is designed with 12 wrap-around antennas that cover all sides of the phone and support mainstream bands in almost all directions, all with the same signal strength. This allows GT 2 Pro to evaluate the signal strength of all antennas and automatically select the one with the best signal.
