Twitter’s new feature is for sharing tweets with select number of people
The Twitter Support account tweeted that, “Some Tweets are for everyone & others are just for people you’ve picked. We’re now testing Twitter Circle, which lets you add up to 150 people who can see your Tweets when you want to share with a smaller crowd. Some of you can create your own Twitter Circle beginning today!”
What is Twitter Circle?
Much like the Close Friends feature on Instagram, Twitter Circle will allow users to not share their tweets with everyone. Users will have the choice to add 150 people with whom they want to share a particular tweet. The feature will be helpful for those who want to restrict their tweets and not let everyone see what one has tweeted.
When will Twitter Circle be available?
Twitter has confirmed that the feature is available for a select few users, according to a report by Engadget. The feature will be available on iOS, Android as well as Web users. However, the number of users is still very small. It’s not clear when Twitter will roll out the feature for all users.

In the tweet, Twitter posted a GIF which details how the feature will work. When a user wants to post a tweet, a prompt will ask whether she wants to share the tweet with everyone or just with a select few in the Twitter Circle.
