Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 specs leak: An incremental upgrade?

TL;DR

  • A comprehensive list of Galaxy Z Fold 4 specs have leaked online.
  • The foldable is tipped to offer a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC and more RAM in the top model.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 later this year, being the latest version of its groundbreaking foldable. We’ve already seen a few rumors related to specs, and now a trusted leaker has apparently issued a comprehensive spec sheet.

Noted tipster Yogesh Brar issued a ream of Galaxy Z Fold 4 specs on Twitter, claiming the new foldable will have a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, 12GB to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB or 512GB of storage. In other words, the top-end model is poised to have more RAM than the top-end Z Fold 3, which offered 12GB of RAM across the board.

It’s also believed that the foldable is equipped with a 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging, in line with last year’s device. So those who want faster charging might be disappointed here, although we hope the addition of the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 results in longer endurance despite the same battery size.

Those hoping for drastically different screen sizes might be disappointed here, as we’ve still got a 7.6-inch 120Hz QXGA+ foldable panel and a 6.2-inch 120Hz HD+ external screen.

Brar also claims the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will offer a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide shooter, and 12MP 3x telephoto lens. This would be similar to the S22 and S22 Plus, save for the higher resolution telephoto camera. Otherwise, it’s believed that a 16MP under-display selfie camera is on-hand here, while the external screen hosts a 10MP shooter.

This latest leak also comes after we got our first apparent look at Galaxy Z Fold 4 renders earlier this month, showing a similar design as its predecessor.
