Samsung has officially announced the global launch of its Odyssey Neo monitor series. The South Korean tech giant shared this information through the company’s blog. However, the precise release schedules will be varying through different regions. Samsung is planning to launch three different monitors under the series — Odyssey Neo G8, G7, and G4. Last month, the company launched the Neo G8 in the US and has now decided to make this monitor lineup to other global markets throughout June.

Samsung has shared the spec sheet of these monitors but hasn’t shared the prices, which will vary across different regions. However, the company claims that buyers will be able to see the new Odyssey series in their local Samsung store before the end of the month.

The 32-inch Odyssey Neo G8 and G7 models have a 1000R curved panel. However, the smaller 25/27-inch Odyssey G4 comes with a flat panel. The Odyssey Neo G8 is the top model of the series that claims to be the world’s first 4K gaming monitor that boasts a 240Hz refresh rate. The other two monitors — G7 and G4 features only the 4K resolution or the 240hz refresh rate, respectively. The Odyssey G7 has a 4K resolution like the Odyssey G8 but can only support a 165Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, G4 can achieve 240Hz but has a lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) instead of 4K.
Apart from the design, all three monitors are aimed toward gaming that is expected to offer great viewing angles and a very low 1ms GTG (grey-to-grey) response time. However, for connectivity, some of the specifications will differ from others. The G8 and G7 will come with HDMI 2.1, whereas the G4 will be restricted to HDMI 2.0. Moreover, the base model will also lack Freesync Premium Pro compatibility but will support FreeSync Premium and G-Sync.
