Xiaomi enters convertible segment with the launch of Xiaomi Book S – Times of India
Xiaomi Book S is now official. Xiaomi has entered the convertible laptop category with the launch of its first convertible Xiaomi Book S in globally. Powered by a Qualcomm processor, the 2-in-1 from Xiaomi runs Windows 11 operating system. The device sports a compact design and promises to offer long lasting battery backup.
The company has also launched a magnetic keyboard with the device, which will be sold separately. The keyboard can be attached to the display with the help of Pogo Pins. The outer part of the keyboard is covered with faux leather which also makes it scratch-resistant. It features a large trackpad and 1.3mm key travel. Along with this, the Xiaomi Book S also supports the Xiaomi Smart Pen.
The company has priced the Xiaomi Book S at 699 euros (Rs 57,405). The convertible comes with Dark Gray colour option and the Chinese smartphone maker has not yet revealed any details about its global roll out.
Xiaomi Book S features
Xiaomi Book S convertible laptop sports a 12.35-inch WQHD+ display with 2560×1600 pixel resolution. The device offers 16:10 aspect ratio and 60Hz refresh rate. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The convertible is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor paired with Adreno 680 GPU. The device packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Book S runs Windows 11 operating system and comes with S mode. The device features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper for selfies and video calling. The 2-in-1 also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and dual speakers.
Xiaomi Book S promises to churn out 13.4 hours of battery backup on a single charge and it also supports 65W fast charging.
