Oppo teases Reno 8 series arrival in India; could be launched on July 21 – Times of India

Oppo has confirmed the launch of the Reno 8 series in India. Back in May, Oppo announced the Reno 8 series in its home market in China including a vanilla Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro+. The company is expected to soon launch two Reno 8 series smartphones – the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro – in India.
Oppo took it to its Twitter handle to tease the Reno 8 series’ launch in India. Further, the company’s official website confirmed that it would be launching the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro in the country, leaving out the high-end Reno 8 Pro+. As of now, Oppo has confirmed a few camera features of the Reno 8 Pro and will reveal more about the upcoming smartphones on July 5 and July 11.
Reno 8 Pro to come with Dimensity 8100 Max SoC and MariSilicon X NPU
As per the official teasers, the Reno 8 Pro comes with MariSilicon X Imaging NPU, which is said to be the world’s first 6nm imaging co-processor. Furthermore, the smartphone can record 4K Ultra Night videos.
There is not much known about the Indian variants of the Reno 8 series, whether they will be different from their Chinese counterparts. However, rumours suggest that the vanilla Reno 8 would be the same as the Chinese version while the Reno 8 Pro launching in India would be a rebranded Reno 8 Pro+. So, the Reno 8 Pro launching in the country would be powered by the Dimensity 8100 Max SoC instead of the newly announced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. If rumours are to be believed, then we can also expect the company to announce the Oppo Pad Air in India alongside the Reno 8 series in July.
