Nothing Phone (1) durability test results are out: This is what they tell – Times of India

Nothing Phone (1) can be called one of the most-hyped smartphones of this year. The smartphone finally launched last month and can say that it did manage to live up to the hype (Nothing Phone (1) review), thanks to the design and hardware it comes with. Also, the Glyph LED interface is one of the key selling points of the smartphone.
With all the design aesthetics, there were concerns over the durability of the Nothing Phone (1). However, it seems that we finally have an answer to this. Popular YouTuber, JerryRigEverything, known for his durability test and teardown videos, has done the durability test video of Nothing Phone (1).
The YouTuber performed all kinds of tests on the Nothing Phone (1) including the scratch test where the phone did receive some scratches around level 5 and level 6, but that’s there with many smartphones these days.
However, the real quality test of smartphones is usually shown during the bend tests. The handset managed to survive the front and rear bend without any sign of damage. However, there was some flex and a creaky noise can be heard in the video when pressure is applied from the front. All in all the Nothing Phone (1) managed to narrowly survive the bend test.
The smartphone also performed rather poorly in the repairability test. The phone scored 3 out of 10 due to time taken to make repairs, parts availability, and screen and battery replacement.
