Microsoft adds a new Xbox Game Pass widget preview in the latest Windows 11 build – Times of India
Moreover, the tech giant has claimed that in the upcoming days, the widget will also allow users to sign in to their Xbox profile and might even allow players to quick launch games that they were playing earlier. Apart from this, the new build also includes improvements to the File Explorer app which will now allow users to open folders in a new tab using a middle click of the mouse.
New changes included in the latest build
As per the blog post, Microsoft has been working with the Xbox team to improve the combination between Windows and PC Game Pass. The company explains that the Game Pass widget will be like a window to the extensive PC Game Pass library which will show — the latest additions, the games that are leaving and other titles from highlighted categories. The widget is also expected to redirect to the Xbox app where users can install the games, see reviews and get other details.
Moreover, the new build will allow users to open a folder in a new tab by middle-clicking it in the navigation pane of File Explorer. However, this function will require the tabbed File Explorer, which hasn’t been rolled out to everyone in the Dev Channel yet. The latest build has also fixed an issue that can cause explorer.exe to crash when opening new File Explorer windows. The tech giant has also fixed multiple other File Explorer issues related to Dark mode and the UI.
Meanwhile, the latest build is also claimed to fix issues leading to mouse and keyboard input not working correctly in certain games. Apart from that, Microsoft has even added some Windows Security fixes with this new preview build.
