A new Tekken game may be in the works – Times of India
At around 1:40 in the video, the cutscene of the 1994 game is shown in which you can see Kazuya Mishima carrying his father Heihachi Mishima in his arms to the end of a cliff and dropping him. After the cutscence shows just Kazuya’s face in full, his face changes into what looks like a modern day face rendition of the character. Then, “Get Ready” appears on the screen too. Here is the Twitter post.

Considering the transformation of the face of an old game’s character into a more modern-looking version, the most obvious guess is that Bandai Namco could be working on a remake of the old game. Or, the project in the works could also be Tekken 8. But the company has just teased its project for now and has not confirmed which of the titles it could be. Bandai Namco also did not reportedly reveal any detail about the teased Tekken game during the EVO stream also.
“Series director Katsuhiro Harada briefly showed up on the official EVO stream, but didn’t elaborate at all on the tease.”, says a report by IGN.
But one thing which is most likely to happen is the arrival of a full-fledged trailer for the game which is expected to reveal what new the franchise has in store for the players. Oh, and if you somehow missed the release date of the free Tekken update in the video above, it is August 17. The free update will bring balancing and tactics to Tekken 7.
