iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max specifications

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max introduce a new front design, with a pill-shaped notch and proximity and other sensors sitting behind the screen. The notch can seamlessly blend with the screen using animation, which Apple likes to call ‘dynamic island’. “When you receive an alert, the dynamic island expands to notify you,” per the company. The iPhone 14 Pro sports a 6.1-inch display, while the Pro Max packs a 6.7-inch screen. Both these panels support a peak brightness of 1600 nits – 2,000 nits on certain videos and HDR with Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.

Additionally, iPhone 14 Pros now have an Always-on display to quickly glance at the time/ date or notifications. The display supports the same ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate as last year, which the company claims can drop down to 1Hz to save some battery. Apart from this, the handsets offer a high contrast ratio, a Wide colour gamut, and 460 PPI.

Moving on, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max both are powered by the A16 Bionic chipset, which is forged using the 4nm manufacturing process and uses 6 core CPU, comprising two high-performance cores that allegedly consume 20 percent less power and four efficiency cores that Apple claims use 1/3rd the power of competitor chips. In optics, the iPhone 14 Pro models sport triple rear cameras with a 48MP quad-pixel primary sensor – for the first time in an iPhone. This is paired with a new 12MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP telephoto lens for zoomed-up shots.

Apple didn’t specify, but it claims the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max to have all-day battery life. The handsets can be charged MagSafe, as every iPhone has since the 12 series, along with the lightning port. The devices also come with emergency SOS via satellite service as well as crash detection, and face ID, much like the non-pro models.
