Nothing has released a new software update — Nothing OS 1.1.4 — for the Phone (1). As confirmed by Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei, the software update is currently rolling out over the air in a phased manner. The update brings some new camera features, Nothing Ear (1) app integration, system improvements and bug fixes.
The Nothing OS 1.1.4 update weighs 136MB in size and is being made available to Phone (1) across Europe, India and other regions. The software update adds a new option to flip the 3-button navigation bar. Secondly, Ear (1) app features are now integrated into the smartphone’s settings and quick settings. Lastly, the Nothing OS 1.1.4 adds LDHC codec support on Phone (1) for high-res audio playback.
Some improvements have been made to the optics on the Phone (1) also. The software update promises to improve colour calibration for the ultra-wide sensor, with an improved colour consistency to match the main sensor. The motion detection algorithm has been added to help users shoot moving objects. Further, the shooting speed of the ultra-wide camera for clicking HDR images has been increased. Also, users can now add a ‘Nothing’ watermark to the images clicked from the Phone (1).
