Apple is working on a fix for the iPhone 14 Pro’s camera shaking issue – Times of India
The Cupertino-based tech giant is now working on a fix to resolve this camera issue on iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models. In a statement made to The Verge, Apple spokesperson Alex Kirschner has said that the company is “aware of the issue and a fix will be released next week.”
What is causing the camera issue in iPhone 14 Pro models
Initially, when the bug was first reported by iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users, the cause of the issue was unclear. As the camera seemed to work fine with Apple’s native app, it was difficult to understand whether the issue was with iOS 16 or just the third-party apps. Now, as Apple has confirmed an update to fix this issue, the problem might be with the iPhone and its APIs and not the third-party apps.
Apple’s statement didn’t make it clear what was causing this problem but rumours suggested that the issue was with the phone’s optical image stabilisation system which is responsible for moving the parts of the camera. The company’s website mentions that this issue is not prevalent in the regular iPhone 14 models which also use the image stabilisation system. In the case of the Pro models, Apple has used a “second-generation” version of the same system which might be the root of the issue.
This is not the first update that will fix a camera issue on the iPhone 14 series. The latest version of iOS 16 — version 16.0.1 — was recently released by Apple for the latest iPhones. This update fixed an issue that caused some photos to turn out soft while zooming in the landscape mode on iPhone 14 Pro Max.
