Google Pixel Buds Pro earbuds are getting this promised audio tuning feature – Times of India
Google has now announced that the 5-band EQ and preset features have begun slowly rolling out to users via a firmware update.
Google Pixel Buds Pro get 5-band EQ
The flagship audio device from Google will get an update “over the next week” that will contain a “full 5-band EQ, with sliders for five different frequency bands, and 6 presets tuned by our audio engineers.” These moving sliders will allow the listener to change the sound as per his/ her preference by moving the sliders.
Google says once a user has configured the Pixel Buds Pro, the setting will remain the same irrespective of the source of the audio, such as laptop or phone. The update also contains controls for the left/right balance along with general bug fixes and improvements.
How to install 5-band equaliser on Pixel Buds Pro
- In order to receive the new features, users should first update the Pixel Buds app to version 1.0.474476083 (or newer).
- Users should also update their Pixel Buds Pro firmware to version 3.14. Google Pixel Buds comes with automatic updates ‘enabled’ by default.
- You will get a notification saying that an update is available. “It will be transferred to your earbuds the next time you use them with your Pixel or Android 6.0+ device. This takes about 10 minutes, and during this time you can continue using your Pixel Buds,” Google said.
- The update is installed when you keep your earbuds in the charging case. Google notes that this installation process also takes about 10 minutes and will only start if your Pixel Buds Pro are charged enough. So, make sure you plug them to a charger if they are out of juice.
- Google says that if you take out buds while the update is being installed, the process may pause. However, it will resume at the next opportunity.
- To check whether you have got the update or not, head to Settings > More settings > Firmware update. If there’s no mention of an available update, it means that you have the most recent firmware, Google adds.
Google Pixel BudsTWS earphones were launched in India at a price of Rs. 19,990 in Coral, Lemongrass, Fog and Charcoal colour options.
