Listen to ‘Steve Jobs AI’ giving an interview – Times of India

Play.ht, a company specialising in AI-generated content, has posted its first podcast on the podcast.ai platform featuring the AI of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs being “interviewed” by a Joe Rogan AI.
As to why it chose Steve Jobs as the first “guest” for the podcasts, the company said (via9To5Mac):
“We wanted to push the boundaries of what is possible in current state of the art speech synthesis, we wanted to create content that can inspire others to do the same, and there was no one who inspired and impacted the technology world more than Steve Jobs, that’s why in the first episode we brought his voice back to life.”
How you can listen to the Steve Jobs AI
The podcast can be accessed by going to https://podcast.ai/. This one is the first in a weekly podcast about a topic which will be entirely generated by artificial intelligence. As per the company, “the episodes are rendered using play.ht’s ultra-realistic voices, and transcripts are generated with fine-tuned language models. For example, the Steve Jobs episode was trained on his biography and all recordings of him we could find online so the AI could accurately bring him back to life.”
Does AI-generated content have a future?
As per Play.ht, the entire content on podcast.ai will be AI-generated but in our opinion, even the AI should have a base for those conversations, a source which is going to help create something similar or close to what Steve Jobs (and the others to be featured in future) would have said. Apple enthusiasts, especially those who are interested in the life and works of Steve Jobs may find something of interest in this podcast. But how exactly will this podcast benefit them if it is entirely created using artificial intelligence? Would it be of any major relevance?
The company believes “in a future where all content creation will be generated by AI but guided by humans, and the most creative work will depend on the human’s ability to articulate their desired creation to the machine.”
Does the idea of artificial intelligence generating content like this appeal to you? Or do you find it eerie? Feel free to sound off in the comments.
