Garmin Venu Sq2 duo features a 1.4-inch rectangular AMOLED touchscreen display and lightweight aluminium chassis. The Music edition allows users to connect to the music services and use the watch to download music right on the watch (up to 500 songs) and listen to them via Bluetooth headphones.
Apart from that, the watches feature a generation 4 heart rate sensor which claims to offer improved accuracy using a beat-by-beat based method to provide detailed data during activity tracking.
Health monitoring features of the watches include:
- Wrist-based heart rate: Track heart rate 24/7 and receive abnormal heart rate alerts (high/low) when the body is at rest.
- Women’s health tracking: Tracks a menstrual cycle or pregnancy
- Body Battery energy monitoring: View current energy levels to find the best times for activity and rest
- Sleep monitoring and sleep score: The latest and most advanced sleep tracking that combines information from multiple sensors to provide a comprehensive assessment of sleep. Features like personalised score for last night’s sleep and viewing the different sleep stages, as well as heart rate, stress, Pulse Ox2 and respiration data, is available
- Stress tracking: Insights on how balanced or stressful the day has been and receives relax reminders when stress is detected.
- Health Snapshot: Log a 2-minute session to record key metrics like heart rate, heart rate variability, Pulse Ox, respiration and stress delivered on the watch itself or in the Garmin Connect app
In terms of battery life, the watch claims to offer around 11 days of usage in a single charge in smartwatch mode and up to one day of additional usage in battery saver smartwatch mode.
The watches come with around 25 preloaded GPS and indoor sports apps such as walking, running, cycling, tennis and more. Also, the Venu Sq2 series is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones.
