Amazon launches All-New Kindle : Price, features and more – Times of India

The All-New Kindle is available for purchase in India at an introductory price of Rs 8,999. However, this is a limited-period offer and thereafter it will cost Rs 9,999. The All-New Kindle comes in black and denim colours. Amazon has also introduced new fabric covers for Kindle are available in Black, Rose, Denim, and Dark Emerald for Rs 1,799. The All-New Kindle is already up for purchase on the Amazon India website.
Key features
The All-New Kindle features a 6-inch, glare-free, 300 ppi high-resolution display. It also comes with a dark mode and adjustable front light, which Amazon claims, provides a comfortable reading experience in all conditions, including bright sunlight or no light at all.
Amazon says that this is the lightest and most compact Kindle model. The All-New Kindle claims to have a battery backup of up to six weeks. Amazon has also increased the storage on the All-New Kindle and it now comes with 16GB of storage. The previous-generation Kindle models featured 8GB of storage.
The device also packs in features like X-Ray, which provides important details about people or places mentioned in a book. There is also a built-in dictionary to quickly look up any word.
Amazon has stressed how the Kindle has been designed with sustainability in mind. “The device is thoughtfully sourced and built with 90% recycled magnesium. The Kindle device packaging is made of 100% wood fibre-based materials from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources,” said Amazon in a press release. Furthermore, Kindle accessory covers follow suit with packaging made from 99% wood fibre-based materials.
