Vivo S16 series to launch on December 22 in China: Details inside

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is set to expand its product lineup with the launch of the S16 series devices. The company has announced its plans to introduce a successor to the Vivo S15 series. Vivo has confirmed that the S16 series will launch in China on December 22. The upcoming smartphone lineup will include the Vivo S16, S16 Pro and S16s models.
As listed on Vivo China’s official website, all the upcoming devices will feature a punch-hole screen, triple rear cameras, and a ring LED aura light. In addition to this, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro will come with curved displays. However, the smartphone maker has not disclosed any details about the pricing of the upcoming Vivo S16 series.
Vivo S16 series: Expected features and specifications
According to a report by Gizmochina, the Vivo S16 and S16 Pro are said to feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED curved display that may support a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The S16, S16 Pro and S16e are reported to be powered by the Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 870 and Samsung Exynos 1080 chipsets, respectively. The S16 and S16 Pro are likely to have photochromic glass, which will change colour from clear to emerald green when exposed to sunlight.
The vanilla Vivo S16 is rumoured to pack 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. On the other hand, the Pro model is expected to be offered in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB RAM and storage configurations.
The Vivo S16 series smartphone models are rumoured to come equipped with a 50MP rear camera setup. For the front, it may house a 50MP selfie camera that might support portrait focus photography.
