Xiaomi 13 series global launch could take place in late February: Report
According to a report by The Pixel, the smartphones will now be making their way to Vietnam and global markets in the upcoming month. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun took to his personal Twitter handle to reveal the launch of Xiaomi 13 series in the international market. The Ultra version is also said to be unveiled soon.
As per other reports, Xiaomi will unveil its 13th generation of smartphones in the global market as well as in Vietnam in the last week of February.
Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13: Price, availability
The Xiaomi 13 in its base variant– 8GB RAM+128GB storage is priced at CNY3,999 (approximately Rs 48,360), while the top-end model 12GB RAM+512GB storage edition comes at a price tag of CNY 4,999 (approximately Rs 60,453). The 8GB RAM+256GB variant and 12GB RAM+256GB storage models are priced at CNY4,299 (approximately Rs 51,988) and CNY4,599 (approximately Rs 55,616) respectively. The Xiaomi 13 Pro starts at CNY 4,999 (Rs 59,215), while Xiaomi 13 comes at a starting price of CNY 3,999 (Rs 47,369).

Xiaomi 13 Pro flaunts a 6.73-inch 120Hz LTPO panel with a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels, 1920Hz DC dimming, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision playback support. The brightness of the display peaks at 1900 nits during HDR playback, while the standard brightness remains at 1200 nits. The display comes with an ambient colour temperature sensor, allowing it to adjust the colour temperature according to the surroundings.
The smartphone comes with Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speaker setup and also supports the new head-tracking feature of Dolby.
Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset paired with 256GB/512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage and 8GB/ 12GB LPDDDR5X RAM. Inside the smartphone comes a 4820mAH battery paired with Xiaomi’s in-house Surge G1 chip, enabling 120W wired charging, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi 13 Pro features a triple 50MP camera setup once again but packs some improvements inside a square camera module. The main sensor is the same 1-inch Sony IMX989 paired with a Leica f/1.9 lens with Hyper OIS.
The telephoto unit is a 50MP sensor with 3x zoom paired with a Leica floating lens with a close focusing distance of 10 cm. The ultrawide unit comes with a 14mm f/2.2 lens with autofocus, thus enabling macro mode.
Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with IP68 dust and water protection, a first for Xiaomi’s flagship series. The smartphone comes in colourways, three in the ceramic back – White, Black, Green, and blue shade in leather.

Xiaomi 13 features a 6.36-inch OLED with a 1080×2400 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG support. The panel offers a peak brightness of 1900 nits and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
Xiaomi 13 also comes with Dolby’s head-tracking feature and speaker setup. And it also borrows the IP68 rating from its bigger sibling.
The camera setup comes with Leica tuning. The main unit is a 50 MP sensor paired with a 23mm f/1.8 lens with Hyper OIS. The 10MP telephoto unit comes with 3x zoom and OIS, while the ultrawide is an f/2.2 12MP camera and the only one in the setup not to have OIS.
Xiaomi 13 comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, the same as the ‘Pro.’ The smartphone boasts a 4500mAh battery with 67W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W wireless charging.
Unlike the Pro, which comes with curved edges, the vanilla models come with flat edges in Black, Light Green, Light Blue, Gray, and White. There are more colours available as well, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue; the latter one is made of leather.
