Meta’s first-ever smartwatch: What to expect
According to a report by PhoneArena, the latest version of the smartwatch is expected to have a similar design to the previous iteration that was cancelled. The first-ever Meta smartwatch is also rumoured to house two cameras and will be powered by an unspecified Qualcomm hardware “platform.” The upcoming wearable is also likely to boot an Android-based Wear OS alternative.
The images shared in the tweet show that Meta is expected to make a few minor changes to the sensor array at the back of the wearable. The smartwatch may also retain the “detachable form factor” that was reported earlier. Meta is eventually expected to use this form factor for “other Metaverse-related devices.”

Meta updates Messenger with new features
Last week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that end-to-end encrypted chats for Messenger will be updated with a few new features. These features include — link previews, custom emojis, themes and others. The company has also confirmed that it is also testing default end-to-end encryption for more Messenger users.
The company also said that it will notify users in their individual chat threads as they get updated with end-to-end encryption. Meta also explained that it will select users randomly for this process.
