While the iOS users have already received the premium tier membership options, the update is still unavailable on the Google Play Store for Android smartphones. Telegram says that the feature will become available soon for everyone. Let’s take look at what the Telegram premium tier has to offer.
Telegram Premium price, features
The Rs 469 Telegram Premium Tier offers a slew of premium features. It offers faster download speeds and up to 4GB maximum file upload option, which for non-premium users is still 2GB. Further, it offers Premium sticker collections that give a full-screen animation, animated profile images, and special emoji reactions.
Premium members will get a 1000-channel and larger group limit and can pin up to 10 chats. They can also reserve up to 20 public links and save up to 400 GIFs as a favourite. Meanwhile, the non-premium members will still have a 500-channel limit and a 5 free chat pin limit. The public link limit is also 10, and the saved GIF limit is up to 200.
Paid users now have a premium badge emblem next to their name in the chat list, chat headers, and group member lists. Premium users can customise their Home Screen with new telegram icons- premium star, night sky, and turbo-plane – that they can choose according to their preferences.
Premium users will be able to convert voice messages to text with the Voice-to-Text feature, and will see no ads. Non-premium members can view the stickers the premium users shared and download extra-large documents.
