Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom for Windows on Snapdragon devices | 91mobiles.com

While Photoshop and Lightroom are already optimised for Windows on Snapdragon devices, Adobe will now be bringing support for more products in Creative Cloud, including Acrobat and Fresco. The compatible apps will be released in 2023 with more apps in the suite to offer native support in the future. In addition, Adobe’s AI engine – dubbed Adobe Sensei – will work with Qualcomm’s AI engine to provide features like super-resolution, background removal, and colour enhancement, among others.

While the support for Android smartphones and Snapdragon Compute platforms is interesting, what really is worth watching out for is the collaboration for XR (mixed reality). Adobe will be leveraging Snapdragon Spaces to improve the authoring and consumption workflows with Aero, its platform for building augmented reality experiences. Along with being spatially aware, Adobe will be able to unlock performant 3D workflows with Universal Scene Description (USD). It’s an open-source technology developed by Pixar to power collaboration in content creation for AR and VR environments. Adobe will also expand the availability of Aero to Snapdragon-powered flagships across the globe.

It’s evident that Qualcomm isn’t just focusing on the hardware aspects, which might be getting all the attention, including the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Its partnership with Adobe is a testament that it aims to deliver a full-fledged experience to creators and consumers alike.
