Airtel 5G Plus is now available in Shimla: All the details – Times of India

Airtel has announced that it is launching 5G services in Shimla. So far, Airtel has rolled out its 5G network in 13 cities. The telecom service provider announced that Airtel 5G services will be available to users in a phased manner.
“Airtel customers can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more,” Pushpinder Singh Gujral, CEO, Upper North said in a statement.

Last week, Airtel expanded its 5G services in Lucknow in multiple areas, which include Gomti Nagar, Hazratganj, Aliganj, Aishbag, Rajajipuram, Aminabad, Jankipuram, Alambagh and Vikas Nagar and other select locations.

The services are currently available in Mall Road, Sanjoli, Dhalli, BhattaKufar, Ridge and Sanjoli Helipad Area and other select locations.

Airtel is already offering its 5G services in 13 cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Siliguri, Lucknow, Patna, Gurugram, Varanasi, Guwahati and Panipat.

Not just the cities, even some of the airports in India also support Airtel 5G. Here’s the list:

  • Indira Gandhi International Airport – New Delhi
  • Kempegowda International Airport – Bengaluru
  • Lohegaon Airport – Pune
  • Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport – Varanasi
  • Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport – Nagpur

Airtel has also updated its Thanks app which now allows users to check 5G compatibility of their smartphone.
