Airtel: Airtel 5G Plus service now live in 16 cities of West Bengal – Times of India

Airtel has expanded its 5G services in West Bengal. The telco has rolled out Airtel 5G Plus service in 16 cities of West Bengal. The Airtel subscribers can now access Airtel 5G Plus service in in Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur & Kharagpur. The Airtel 5G Plus service is already live in Siliguri.
Airtel users with 5G-enabled smartphones can access Airtel 5G Plus service at the above-mentioned locations. Users must keep in mind that they don’t need a new SIM card to access the 5G services. The Airtel subscribers can access its 5G services on their existing 4G SIM card. Also, presently the telecom operator is offering 5G services at no additional cost. So, the users don’t have to pay extra money to access Airtel 5G Plus.

Commenting on the launch, Ayan Sarkar, CEO West Bengal, Bharti Airtel said, “I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Berhampore, Old Malda, Raiganj, Durgapur, Balurghat, Alipurduar, Dinhata, Asansol, Barrdhaman, Koch Bihar, Medinipur, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Islampur & Kharagpur in addition to Siliguri. Airtel customers in these sixteen cities can now experience ultrafast network and enjoy speeds upto 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up all the cities which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and more.”
