Bharti Airtel has announced a new affordable prepaid plan for its customers. The new plan is priced at Rs 149 and at this price it also includes OTT benefits, according to the Telecomtalk report. In addition to the OTT benefits, the plan comes with additional data. Basically, the Rs 149 plan is a data add-on plan and requires another active prepaid plan to activate the add-on pack.

Benefit-wise, the Rs 149 data pack does not offer much. However, the surprising part is that it includes the Xstream Premium subscription at no additional cost. And, for those who aren’t aware, the Xstream Premium subscription includes over 15 OTT platforms within a single app. Apart from that, the plan comes with 1GB of data and it does not have any validity of its own. It relies on the validity of the currently active prepaid plan.
For a data add-on plan, the Rs 149 offers a little less benefit with only 1GB. However, with this plan, Airtel isn’t trying to attract customers who want more data on their numbers. The plan is basically aimed at people who want to consume OTT content without paying much. The inclusion of Xstream Premium solves this problem and offers a wide selection of movies, TV Shows and other content at a price of Rs 149.

If you are interested in more data than OTT benefits, then Airtel also has a Rs 148 data pack that includes 15GB of data over the existing prepaid plan. And, there’s a Rs 301 plan available that offers 50GB of data over the existing plan.
Airtel also offers cheaper data plans which include Rs 58, Rs 65 and Rs 98 data plans that offer 3GB, 4GB and 5GB data to users.
