alexa: Alexa can now tell you about cricket updates – Times of India

With fans down with cricket fever because of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Amazon has added a new cricket update feature to its AI-based smart assistant. With the new feature, Alexa users can check for cricket updates, match schedules, details about participating teams and more.
What this means is Alexa-enabled smart speakers, displays and other devices can now provide information related to the latest matches or upcoming matches. The feature will be available in both Hindi and English languages. Here’s a few things that the new ‘cricket updates’ feature brings to Alexa.
Check details about participating teams
With the ongoing IPL, it has become really complicated to keep track of players and the teams they are playing with. In this case, users can simply ask Alexa. For example: “Alexa, what teams are playing tomorrow?” or ask “Alexa, who is the captain of RCB or any other team?”
Check match schedules
Alexa can now also update you with the match schedules. Users can simply ask Alexa about the next IPL matches or upcoming matches of a particular team. Example: Alexa, चेन्नई का मैच कब है” or “Alexa, Mumbai Indians match schedule”.
Check team and player stats
Users can now ask Alexa to check team details and stats by asking “Alexa, what is KKR’s rank?”, “Alexa, CSK का highest total क्या है?”, “Alexa, विराट कोहली ने कितने रन बनाए?”
Check live match details
Users can also get live updates of the match. They can now ask “Alexa, who won the toss?”, “Alexa, what is the score?” or “Alexa, क्रिकेट स्कोर बताओ.”
Check post-match details:
Once the match is complete you can ask your Alexa Built-in device for information about the man of the match and the leading run-scorer and wicket-taker. Just say “Alexa, who was the man of the match?” or “Alexa, सबसे ज़्यादा wicket किस player ने लिए?”
