In a meeting with their managers on Tuesday, Amazon employees across the US were told that they have two months to find some other job internally or accept severance payment, reports The Washington Post.
The employees have received very little to no information about the ongoing job cuts, and they have not even received any notification from the company, two of the corporate employees told the publication.

Not just that, but Amazon has frozen hiring among its corporate ranks, which should last for a few coming months.
As per the internal Slack channel screenshots, many employees have been fired from the Alexa team in Boston, Seattle, Vancouver, and the Bay Area.
The company has also started to let go of contractual workers staffed in the hiring division, stating that their assignments will be ending abruptly.
It is the third biggest layoff of the month after Twitter sacked nearly 50% of staff, which will be around 3,750 staff across the globe. Whereas Meta had to let go of 13% of its workforce, i.e, more than 11,000 employees.
