Amazon brings this ‘much-awaited’ feature to Echo Show devices, but Indian users may have to wait – Times of India

One thing that Amazon Echo Show devices were behind Google Nest Hub devices was showing your own photos from Gallery. A photo frame-like feature that comes in handy on some occasions.
While it’s not like Echo Show devices do not have this feature at all, it was too cluttered with all the necessary information that Amazon wants you to see like weather details, alternate recipe suggestions and more.
That has changed now, according to a report by The Verge. Going forward users can ask Alexa to show their photos without any other details and distractions for up to 3 hours. The digital photo feature isn’t all new. It was available on Echo Show 15 and now the company is rolling out to other Echo devices as well.

However, the feature is currently rolling out in select countries including US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Australia and Spain. India is not included in the list that means, to try this new feature Indian users will have to wait for the next announcement from Amazon. Also, Amazon hasn’t revealed whether they are going to bring the digital photo feature to India or not.
To enable the digital photo frame feature, users just need to ask Alexa to start ‘Photo Frame’. That’s it. Alexa will start showing your photos as a slideshow without any notification, suggestions or ads. Users will have the option to choose Amazon Photos, Facebook Photos or a collection of the stock images as their photo slideshow collection.
