Amazon Echo Studio receives new audio enhancements

Amazon has started rolling out a new update for its most powerful Echo device — the Echo Studio. The update includes two new features — new custom-built spatial audio processing technology and frequency range extension — in addition to the existing Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio support.
Spatial audio processing technology
The Spatial audio processing technology brings enhancements to the stereo sound and offers greater width, clarity and presence. It turns Echo Studio into a Hii-Fi stereo system which claims to improve the overall sound quality of the device.
Improved frequency range
Another new feature that comes to Echo Studio is the improved frequency range. It claims to deliver better performance by improving mid-range clarity and bass output for the smart speaker.
Update rolling out gradually
Amazon has confirmed that the new features will be added via software update. However it will be a gradual rollout and it may take a while to reach out to your device.
How to update Echo Studio with latest software
Updating Echo devices is rather a simple process. All you can do is ask Alexa to check for the update — “Alexa! Check for software update”. Alexa will automatically check for any latest update available for the speaker and install it on the device. Alternatively, you perform the same action using the Alexa app on your smartphone.
Open Alexa app
Head to Devices
Tap on Echo Studio speaker option
Scroll down to About and tap on it
Now, check for the update
Meanwhile, Amazon has recently introduced its latest generation of Echo speakers — Echo Dot 5th-generation, Echo Dot with clock 5th-generation, Echo Studio 2nd-generation and Halo Rise.
