Meanwhile, the quarterly and yearly plans will be available at Rs 459 and Rs 1499 compared to Rs 329 and Rs 999 earlier. The monthly and quarterly subscription plans have received almost a 39% hike, whereas the yearly plan is now 50% more expensive.

Amazon says that the existing subscribers can enjoy their current subscription at the current prices until it ends, but they will be asked to pay the new prices once the subscription ends. According to the help page, the customers currently subscribed to Prime using the offers from their telecom operators will have to abide by the new prices. The company suggests such subscribers contact their telecom operators. Further, the company says that the Youth Offer will apply to the new prices. Eligible users can avail a cashback of Rs 500 under the Youth Offer.
