Amazon Prime Video will take on Hotstar in cricket streaming

Amazon Prime Video won exclusive rights from the New Zealand cricketing board and will be broadcasting New Zealand Women’s and Men’s cricket team matches live on the platform. Amazon Prime Video will be streaming live matches starting off with the New Zealand vs Bangladesh test series in January 2022.

The New Zealand cricket team has built a reputation of being one of the finest in the game and undoubtedly cricket fans in India will be delighted to experience the exciting sporting action live exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. We are excited to start our live cricket journey in 2022 – an actionpacked year that will see both Indian women’s and men’s teams tour New Zealand. Today is truly Day 1 of our sports journey.” 

Following this, Amazon Prime Video users will also be able to enjoy matches such as India vs New Zealand Women’s series in February 2022 while India vs. New Zealand Men’s series is scheduled for November 2022. This adds to a packed schedule of Bangladesh touring New Zealand in January 2022, followed by South Africa’s February 2022 tour, Australia’s tour in March 2022 and Netherland’s March-April 2022 tour.

New Zealand vs. Bangladesh first match has been scheduled for January 1st to 5th at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Currently, Disney Plus Hotstar is the biggest OTT service to offer cricket live streaming in India.
