Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 to make its global debut on December 8 alongside the Realme 10 Pro series
Last month, Realme announced the Realme 10 Pro series, consisting of two smartphones — the Realme 10 and Realme 10 Pro+ — running the latest version of Realme’s in-house Android skin, the Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.
Now, the Realme 10 Pro series is making its global debut on December 8; tagging along is the Realme 4.0, which will also make its debut outside of China on the same date. The new version of the skin will be based on Android 13, and the two Realme 10 Pro series smartphones will be the first ones from the company to run Android 13 out of the box.
Interestingly, this build of Realme UI is different from the Android 13 update rolling out to some of the other Realme smartphones. The one coming as an update is the Realme UI 3.0, while this one is the newer version, the Realme UI 4.0, with some visual and functional changes,
What’s new in Realme UI 4.0
The latest version of RealmeUI adopts a card-style layout, segmentizing the information, and a new control centre for quick access to essential information. Further, the Realme UI 4.0 introduces the blossom wallpaper and a shadow-reflective clock widget.
The always-on display now includes smart music and a food delivery tracking widget. Further, users can use Bitmoji to show on their smartphone’s always-on display.
There’s a new powerful Dynamic Computing Engine that boosts the overall performance and reduces the power consumption of a system. This should provide users with a long-lasting and smooth experience.
A few new privacy features to come with the Realme UI 4.0 are the Private Safe tool and Auto Pixelate.
The Realme 10 Pro and Realme 10 Pro+ will come with Realme UI 4.0 out-of-the-box. However, there is no word on when other smartphones will receive the Realme UI 4.0 update.
