Android 13: Google tests a combined Security and Privacy section with the latest beta update – Times of India
Both Security and Privacy sections in Android Settings are soon expected to be merged into a single tab. This change was first rumoured in April and the new design has now been included in the latest beta update of Android 13. Esper’s Mishaal Rahman has shared a tweet to show the new design and mentioned that the change has been included with the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 2 update.

This new design hasn’t been rolled out for any smartphone yet but Google has promised that the new design will come for Pixel devices first and then it will be rolled out for other Android phones.
Google is also expected to release a third beta next month before it starts rolling out a stable update, called Google Pixel Drop, in December. The features in the beta versions are most likely to be a part of Pixel Drop. Google released the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1 update in September.
How will the new design look
This new change will bring multiple privacy and security options like — security updates, device locking, Find My Device, Google Play system update and other options in a single tab in the Settings menu. This new consolidated option will be like a security settings hub where users can get all the options for their devices under a single umbrella.
The redesigned security and privacy option will also notify users (with cards) when their devices are at risk or if there’s an issue with their Android smartphone. This new option will also scan the device for bugs and viruses. Moreover, users will also get options to fix the issues (like uninstalling an app laced with malware) once the scan is complete.
