Your Android phone been working erratically since the last few days? Goes into a sudden freeze, restarts on its own, crashes or is generally running very slow? Some or one of the Android apps that you downloaded recently may be the reason. However, worry not as there are ways to find such truant apps. Here’s how you can troubleshoot on your own and fix the issue on your Android phone.
Restart in Safe mode
Restarting in Safe mode varies from phone to phone. So, you may have to go on your brand’s website to figure this out. Please note that Safe mode removes some Home screen widgets. If you use widgets, take a screenshot to help you put them back.
Use your phone for some time as you normally do in Safe mode
You will have to try to use the device in this mode to see if the problem you were facing earlier is still there or has been fixed. If it does, then an app or apps are causing the issue. So the next step to fix this is exit safe mode. Exiting a safe mode is pretty easy as simply restarting the device should do it.
Now look for the app/apps causing the trouble
The next step to fix the problem is to look for the app that is causing the trouble. This has to be done one by one removing the recently-downloaded apps. Now check whether removing that app solved the problem or not. This means that restart the phone normally and check if it is working fine. After you have traced the app that is causing the problem, you can reinstall all the other apps that you removed.
